Its Raining Puppet-Tears

by Shelby G.   Jan 26, 2005

Standing so silently, the puppet on the shelf, its raining outside, and the skies are dark and gray
Swaying so peacfully, the tree outside the house, its raining outside, and nothing does it say
Creeping so quietly, the puppeteers awake, its raining outside, and there is no sign of day
Moving so slowly, picking puppet up, its raining outside, and the puppeteer will play

Dancing on it's strings, the puppet entertains, its raining outside, raining puppet tears
Gaining it's own will, puppet takes control, its raining outside puppeteer's worst fears
Puppeteer is scared, he slowly back away, it's raining outside, as the puppet slowly nears
Puppeteer is gone, he no longer exsists, its raining no more, not raining puppet tears

A very thought-provoking poem. Nice play on words, too. It's a very intriguing poem. Nicely done. I liked it. Keep it up.
