Asphalt Eulogy

by Rich   Jan 27, 2005

Flash,
Bang.
Slash?
Hang?

Slice and dice
Men or mice?
You loath what I say
So I scream it twice.

Constantly turning,
Yearning
And burning;
For nothing but road,
My open abode.
Highway death-ride;
My octane suicide.

Man and machine,
A sentient being.
In the rear-view I adore,
The past I abhor.

    I LOVE THIS POEM! I really do, and not in some weird, morbid way, but one poet to another. It's wonderfully written and organized. I really like the first stanza.
    *good work*
