Just a Kid

My life has been unfair
From the start
Struggles I've had to overcome
A past so dark

Why did I have to go through
What I did
Didn't he understand
I was just a kid

What happened back then
Effected my life
Almost ended it too
With a knife

But my life has changed
And I have too
I wouldn't want anyone
To go through what I went through

He walks the streets
To this day
What I wouldn't give
To see him pay

For the crime he committed
For my innocence he stole
But the sad part is
That no one will ever know

What kind of guy
He really is
To do something like that
To just a kid
