I Trusted You

I see the looks you give me,
and I wonder what I did to cause them.
All I ever did was love you,
and it was thrown back in my face.

I never asked why you were late at night,
Because i trusted you.
When my friends tell me things about you,
I ignore them because I trusted you.

Then I see you with another girl,
and the tears well up and start to flow.
I run to a safe place and try to forget,
but all i can picture is you and her.

I try to forget what I saw,
but then you come home and I see the picture.
You act like every things fine,
like nothing out of the ordinary happened.

I trusted you with everything,
and all it did was cause me heart ache.
All I feel is the urge to slap you,
because of the pain you caused me.

The happiness i was to tell,
has disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
The positive has become a negative,
because if you don't want me...
then you can't want this baby.
