The Connection

A connection between mother and child.
Even in death, cannot be torn apart.
Memories shared, of joys and trials.
Always present within your heart.

Though the body may cease to be.
For the one who gave you life.
The memories live on inside, you see.
In each dog-eared moment in time.

To hear a sweet and loving voice.
Whisper...I love you precious child.
Makes your heart rejoice.
And to your lips, brings a smile.

The precious gift of mothers love.
Treasured throughout the years.
Continues though she's in heaven above.
As long as your heart holds her near.
