On the Outside

by Jenny   Feb 7, 2005

Living in a world
Where everyone looks the same.
So afraid to speak the thoughts
That linger inside the brain.
Afraid of the response
From the ones that we look to please.
Everyone has lied.
Being the person they seem to be.
It seems to come as our expertise,
Hiding what is on the inside.
All the unfallen tears,
That have yet to be caught.
Falling from the doubts, falling from the fears.
Only to hide,
Because thats what we were taught.
To show what others want to see on the outside.
