Fatally Untrue

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 8, 2005

I was willing and able
To lose it all for you
No mater I didn't feel stable
I just believed we were true

I didn't see the future, how could I?
If I'd had the foresight
I’d have run from your dark sky
And left behind this bitter night

But now I am bound to you
Heartache and despair
Seeing now we're not true
And I see also, that you don’t care

And I want to run, run so far
But you take me with you
No matter where you are
You say there's so much to give you

All I want is to give an ending
You can't be my love anymore
Because we're only pretending
I don’t know what I loved you for

But I know it's no longer there
Because every touch, every word
Is tainted with a haunting despair
I screamed but you never heard

So now I hide, a recluse
Hoping, praying each hour
That you will set me loose
From your mighty power

Until you do I'm bound
By the love I thought was true
Struggling, fallen on the ground
I know I can't escape you.
