Bleed Like Me

She sat there staring at his letter
so many thoughts running through her mind
shuffling through their past and her memories
the reason for his message, hard to find

the cold letters flowed over the page
she couldn't comprehend the words they formed
her mind traveled back through the years
reliving the past, the love he has torn

resentment flowed over her
the hate was so intense
she didn't understand what she did
to make their end commence

she gave that boy everything
everything she was, he stole
he lied about his love for her
easily playing his sick role

he pretended who he was
the life he made never existed
but she clung to his lies wishing
with each one growing more addicted

she knew deep down inside
what he said never was true
but she loved the way he made her feel
though she was only being used

he used her up, and tossed her out
she was no use to him anymore
he invaded her body and stole her heart
to leave it bloody and forsaken on the floor

tears whell up this time
she can't take those words from him.
their love felt so real
she was willing to commit so many sins

no, she WONT take those words from him
she will make him feel her pain
she waited for him at his house
sitting int the pouring rain

cold and alone on his step
she waited for what seemed like forever
she watched the steam drift off the asphalt
wondering why they weren't together

she heard his car, but stayed where she was
she couldn't run to his side anymore
she sat there by herself
and patiently waited by his door

he found her there and begged her to come in
he wrapped her in a blanket and held her close
she shivered in his ams, he felt so good
this was the moment she chose.

his arms tightened, then fell loose
a look of confusion on his beautiful face
she stared at her blood covered hand
feeling nothing but disgrace

he fell to the floor, holding his wound
gasping for breath to speak
but she only hushed him in time to say...
"I'm sorry, my sanity was just too weak..."

she sank down to whisper as she kissed him...
"now you bleed from the very spot i do,
but i left your black heart still alone inside...
to feel the pain that I've gone through"
