Me

by Cory   Feb 9, 2005

Inside me
I see a girl,
in the whirl of her life,
spinning out of control.
Gripping with only her hope,
to the unravelled threads of a
smile she used to have.
She is numb to her bones,
and feels nothing but regret,
as she faces her mistakes again.

Inside me,
she wants to run and hide,
like she did before.
Each memory passes by,
like dark clouds
rolling through her mind.
A whispered apology escapes
in the tear running down her cheek

My eyes turn glassy.
My face turns pale....
inside me she surrenders to despair
she falls into her world of darkness
once more.
