The Truth

by Alyssa Schlarb   Feb 9, 2005

You set up the lines,
Like it doesn't even matter.
You keep hurting yourself,
It only makes me sadder.

I'm slowly losing you,
I don't know what to do.
I have nowhere to turn,
To get away from the things you do.

Sooner or later,
You're going to die.
But until you do,
You'll keep living on big lie.

Everybody looks through you,
They can't see the truth.
You hide behind a fake smile
And pretend every thing is alright.

You're slowly yourself,
But you don't care.
You're going to leave me here,
Alone and without a care.

Now the time has come,
It's time for you to go.
To all the lies you told before,
Let the truth be known.
