Her Mommy Wasn't Always Mean

by Emily   Feb 10, 2005

She stood there breathless.
Seeing her mom on the floor.
It didn't matter that she gave her bruises or scares anymore.
Just seeing the blood and the gun on the floor.
She couldn't stop herself from shaking as she dialed 911.
The second the paramedics came.
They pulled over the sheet.
Saying they were sorry.
And left ed her to weep.
After the drugs and beer her mom drank.
After all the pills she would take.
After all the rages, and the times she swore.
The girl took it deeper then she did before.
Her mom was Prom Queen.
Gentle at heart.
Just that her daddy, stole mommy's heart.
Mom went down from there.
She went crazy, cut her long blond hair.
Went to the clubs.
Came home drunk.
With a couple of guys, who didn't treat her right.
But her mom always made sure she was asleep, locked in her room so the men wouldn't see.
Just in case they were bad, cause if they hurt her baby she would get mad.
But if a guy walked out on her, she would take it out on her.
cause she had no one else there for her.
the little girl now blamed her self.
and with the same gun, she made it go off.
when she got to heaven, her mommy was there.
hugging her baby girl and kissed her head.
