Night night daddy

i really don't want you to have to go
i have had 3 days to say goodbye
as i watch you, a tear in my eye
you lie there with so much peace
as i watch you quietly sleep
today is the day you have to go

few more minutes they say you will be gone.

mummy said you will be in no more pain please fight it daddy i don't want you gone. mummy and i sat and watch as you slipped away.
you peacefully went the nurse would say.
