Wasn\'t me

by Roger Clarke   Feb 11, 2005

In the beginning was the word and the word was me,
the word had power, over you, can't you see?
the people voted,
for these words,
the buttons were pressed by the nerds,
and the word was turd.

then the turd became a word,
and the word was tap,
the people tapped,
on their keys,
until they collapsed onto their knees,
and the word was vote.

then the vote became a throat,
and the throat said vote,
the throat said for ME
be as busy as a bee,
tapping on a key,
for me.

the word controlled,
as he people told,
the computer how great this is,
the votes made the system fizz.

then the word became a sentence,
it stated I don't CARE,
vote for who you really want to,
but watch your back-beware.
