A True Father Lost

by John   Feb 12, 2005

You have impacted our lives every day
You have helped us out in every way
You were like a father to us all
Every time we needed you we just needed to call

Now your gone and your no longer here
Life without you is our greatest fear
I'm sorry I couldn't see you that one last time
But I'm sure you would always say, everything will be fine

We never thought this would never happen to you
Because you were always there and always knew
My mom sat there crying missing you so
I always sat there saying this cant be happening, NO

Now I know that you are no longer among the living
When you were here you were always giving
You never really yearned for a gift for yourself
You just wanted everyone to be happy with there oneself

I remember the times we would go to stores
You would make me laugh so much I'd roll on the floors
In the truck you would act like such a teenager
Tilting your hat sideways and goofing with a stranger

Now I know why you put on this earth
To make us happy throughout our birth
God I miss the times we had fun
I'll see you in heaven when my life is done
