A Better Tomorrow

by AntiSocial16   Feb 12, 2005

A better tomorrow is all I wish
To be among heaven and the stars
To be with all the guardian angels
To drift from this Earth, maybe to Mars

A better tomorrow is what I hope for
But it is so hard to see
Especially with the life I live
And what I am condemned to be

My mother beats me black and blue
And for this I’ve become so sad
I try to believe she can change
But she says that I am bad

My father rapes me day and night
Each time that I am home
If I can even call it that
For in that house I feel alone

My parents have never cared
Nor does anyone else for that matter
And so I wish for a better tomorrow
To climb up heaven’s ladder

So I’ve turned to a friend
A little shiny sharp blade
I can take it a drag it down my arms
To see a relieving crimson shade

And never will they try and help
To help and take away this pain
They’ll either just walk away
Or just ignore me and say I’m insane

And never will they think to notice
When I’m gone and dead
They’ll find me 5 years later
Alone and sad on my bed

“Oh there she is,” they’ll say,
“At least we’ll have no more sorrow.”
But I’ll be on my bed,
Looking for a better tomorrow.
