Gone Forever (Part I)

Can you imagine
Every second of every day
she wants to be in his arms
she wants everything to be ok

she would give anything to go back
but it will never be the same
it's nobody's fault
she has no one to blame

he had a fake I.D.
that night at the bar
no one even saw
him drive away drunk in his car

the semi was coming
and he didn't stop at the light
they collided and the car was crushed
his girlfriend was out with her friends that night

she had a bad feeling
like she knew something was wrong
she kept trying to call his cell
she didn't know where he had gone

his best friend finally called her
and told her through his tears
she rushed to the hospital
to see him and calm her fears

she held his hand just one last time
and she couldn't help but cry
laying her head on his chest
praying to god to not let him die

the doctors tried everything
until there was nothing they could do
I'm so sorry but he's gone
those words tore her heart in two
