My bid farewell

by Unrequited   Feb 13, 2005

Erase me
taste me
tell me what you know
if only i die
when i want to die
no one telling me where to go
the sun bleeds rain
and i feel the pain
as the spyders turn gray
and the child looks on

the graveyard seems lonely this time of year
on the anniversary of your death
as i sit here, remembering the good times
the times we had, when we were in love
then the masque of darkness
covered in my tears,
(tears as black as the sun)
will reach out
and tear my heart away
when darkness falls
blue skies bring tears, my friend
and mask the sun’s bright light
our eternal flames slowly fade away
and death brings us redemption once more

as the willing live unwillingly
the dead lose all hope
all they want is one more chance
but life doesn’t work that way

i hope you can hear me
as you wait for my return
i’m glad you are now free
and away from it all
i remember your laugh
i remember your smile
i remember the love we had
and now i bid you farewell

-and as i heard you scream that night,
i realized that i can live no more…
death has taken my love away

great poem! it flowed really well and had good metaphors in- i agree with untouchable, tears as black as the sn is an inspired idea!
