I don’t want to hear I’m sorry
It’s meaningless to me
You’ve said it so much before
And I don’t think you really see

The pain in my eyes
Fighting to cry these tears
But my eyes have dried up
From heartbreak over the years

Are you truly sorry
Because I don’t know what to believe
Instead of saying sorry
Maybe it’s better that you leave

It kills me too much now
Like a broken record
Playing over in my head
That one simple word

Sorry is the knife
That still digs into my chest
And sorry is the only thing
That wakes my heart from rest

Sorry is a pointless word
Unless you prove it’s worth
Because you don’t believe in angels
Until you see them walk the earth
