Now that he's gone

He left me
On this Valentine's Day afternoon
Now my world's deflating
Like a two-day old balloon.

I'm a lone rose
forgotten on the ground
My heart feels as though
its gained a hundred pounds.

I can't be angry at him for long
I just love him too much
But I am so empty and cold
Not being able to feel his warm touch

We will still be friends
And we will never be more than that
I feel like I am being walked over
Like a little welcome mat

My friends say don't cry
You just weren't meant to be
But he means everything
Everything to me

But i will live
And grow strong
Even though I'm a bird
Without its song

I can't wish him back
Life's not like that
I will carry on
Now that he's gone.

~~I don't know how good it is just how i was feeling at the moment .... I will survive though and i will keep writing~~

    um i just like to say the inspiration i got for my little red rose poem is from the 2nd stanza of this poem so.... u can read that 2 if u want
