Love, Eventually...

by Czekalski   Feb 15, 2005

I see children walking down the street with bruises and cuts on their bodies.
Hatred infects their parents’ hearts, and every day they feel its wrath.
Everyone talks about the little boy and girl, who are battered and beaten.
No child deserves to live without love in his life, yet every day hundreds do.
Their bodies are weak from days, maybe even weeks, without food.
Their clothes are torn and tattered, because they do not receive new ones.
They hold their heads low, because shame is the only thing they can call their own.
They have no friends just enemies who tease them on the playgrounds at school.
No one understands; no one tries. They all just stare and whisper.
However, some day these children will live happily ever after…
In a place where they can be free from their parents and where they can be loved;
They will live in a place where peace and tranquility is all that matters.
They will live in a place where they will find love...eventually.
