Circle seasons

by Sinister Soire   Feb 15, 2005

As winter comes to be
Cold descends upon the land
Locked away from sunshine
By a shadowed slight of hand

Winter in this land of seasons
Is the most prominent of all
Turning gold and green to brown
Shortly after start of fall

The fall in turn is just another
Season ruled by the cold
Harsh winds blowing all around
Stuck in that same old mold

Fall itself if just a shadow
Of all the warmth and joy
Bringing death to all life
Destroying summer in its ploy

The summer heat supports
While life is at its best
Bringing heat to all lands
Supporting life on mothers breast

Summer life cannot spring
Up from some old hole
Following after a season
Where spring sits upon its knoll

This spring, the bringer of all life
Is the start of birth and death
Budding plants begin their journey
Nursing animals to good health

Spring like all comes from last
As it is bringer from the cold
Young and soft like newborn baby
While winter is hard and old
