My house of pain

by Jamie   Feb 16, 2005

Welcome to my house of pain,
Cold, Dark, and falling down,
Years and years of batter,
Makes it haunted in this town.

The doors are hard to open,
For they’ve been locked up far too long,
Cause the owner of this house you see,
Wished to be portrayed as strong.

But if you care enough,
To break down those tall walls,
You'd see what caused her pain,
You’ll see who caused her falls.

If you walk down the lonely halls,
Photographs grace the paper,
Of her family she once belonged to,
Who never wanted to love her.

If you enter the kitchen,
You’ll see her biggest fear,
Old food she never could face,
It’s what killed her all these years.

Or look behind that painting,
And you’ll see the hole all plastered,
When her father found out her mom had cheated,
Punched the wall instead of that bastard.

And if you really care to look,
You see the banister’s broken,
From the night her mother pushed her so hard,
She knew she shouldn’t have spoken.

And in the cold bathroom,
You’ll see where all her pain let go,
Thrown up the food she ate,
Into the toilette bowl.

Or on the floor she laid,
The night she took that syrup,
The floor on which a life almost ended,
Hours before she could even get up.

The prison still remains,
Her room in which she would cry,
The times she was all alone,
So many times she preferred to die.

Upon the white dresser top,
You’ll see a drawer for jewelry,
Where all her razors were hidden,
After they released her fury.

By this time I’m sure you’ve realized,
This house of pain must be demolished,
Taken to the ground forever,
And her life will soon be finished.
