War

by she died screaming.   Feb 17, 2005

Bang, there’s yet another shot,
Here’s another prisioner caught.
People killing people dying.
Send some more people home crying.
Tell them there family had been killed at war.
Tell you’re kids daddy died giving you a place to live and adore.
Tell them he is still alive in their hearts and long as they keep him there.
Let them no he will always be there to tuck them into bed at night,
And he will be there to turn out the left alone light.
He will be there when it’s cold and snowing and you have no coat,
He will be the message you forgot you wrote.
He’s the wind in you’re hair,
He’s the dreams you don’t want to dare.
But until the day you die,
Mommy will always be there to cry.
Waiting for the safe return,
Hoping you’ll take the right turn.
And come home safe.
So we can all be happy again.
But no matter what happens.
You will always be in our heart,
And I love you from the end to the start.
