Here to stay

by Kit   Feb 18, 2005

Dark grey rain clouds
Fill the sky.
They pour cold glass,
Like the tears I don’t cry.

The rain that falls
Turns earth to mud.
The mud runs thick,
Just like my blood.

Mud washes over flowers,
Ready to bloom.
Kills all happiness,
Alone in the moon.

Dead black flower
Fades away.
Another lost chance,
Like the words I don’t say.

More flowers sprout up,
Blooming again.
Beautiful colors,
Like all my friends.

Each new flower
A chance at life.
A chance that’s
Brightening all in sight.

Birds and trees come,
Grass on ground.
Signs of hope,
Like my love’s around.

All these things
Make their home.
They hold steady,
Strength I now know.

Next time grey skies
Come this way,
These roots hold strong.
Beauty’s here to stay.

~good one, it was conveying. you lost the rhyme in some lines, but it was nice reading it, rhyme doesn't really matter, expressive work, write more.
~take care, 5! always believe in love, ~amit
