Once upon a time we talked,
And we knew the feelings we each fought.
Our lives were changed when our eyes met.
We chased a dream that’s never slept.

My hand was in yours; your arm was around me.
Nobody knew that we had something between us.
As under the blanket our hands slowly met,
We knew we were wrong but we couldn’t help it.

I wanted to stop it, this lie we were hiding.
I wanted to scream and to run off crying.
But every time I got close to an edge
Your arm was around me and on your shoulder I laid my head.

Soon enough everyone found out,
It was hell to deal with but we figured out.
At least I thought so until someone else said to me,
I too was their love and to me they admitted.

But you still held me as close as you could.
I let you because that’s all I knew what to do.
Your intoxicating touch was too much to refuse.
I let you tell me things and now I feel used.

Now I'm unsure if you love me or not.
I feel so guilty, but somehow I can’t stop.
My emotions are attached to you and your heart.
Our relationship is warping, and now my worlds falling apart.

I want you to think about how you've made me feel.
