A Distant Shadow

A Distant Shadow
I squint my eyes to see clearly into the darkness,
Its early morning, and I believed everyone was asleep,
So I was trudging though the snow, deep…
I see a shadow in the distance,
And a shinny object in the shadows hand,
When he walks closer, I clearly identify the shadows a man.
The shinny object is a knife,
I start to run, for my beloved life.
But he has an advantage, for he has longer legs,
And as he grabs my hair, the world is wide-awake…
For they hear my screams, as he cuts me into tiny useable pieces,
And lays my body in the now red snow…
