Your words

by GemmaR   Feb 19, 2005

You say I'm just not eating enough
And that I should be eating more
That every body's had it tough
I shouldn't be dying to be this thin

You say I'm trying to get your attention
And you don't know why I'm this cruel
That time will rid me of this affliction
I shouldn't be dying to be this thin

You say I should try to be stronger
And learn to love myself a bit more
That you want me around a while longer
I shouldn't be dying to be this thin

You say I'm just a shadow of my self
And my shape's no longer the one you love
Your words are for the good of my health
I shouldn't be dying to be this thin

You say my hair's getting thinner
And my skin's never looked so pale
That I've stopped getting any slimmer
I shouldn't be dying to be this thin

You say that all my bones are on show
And soon people will see through me
That in the end, everyone will know
I'm dying to be this thin.

Jason, thanks for your comment. I do write from personal experience but thankfully, not recent experience.
