A poem about GOD

by william payne   Feb 19, 2005

Did you ever think there was no god
That he was made for the weak of mind
I've always been told to pray to him
But he has never answered mine

Not one time i do recall
Was he there to stop me before I'd fall
Nor did he help me to get up
Left me there laying asking "what the f_ck"

People say he shows you signs
Well then why haven't i seen mine
Not a word or a phrase
I'm lost like a mouse in a maze

They say I'm going to hell cause i don't believe in him
Well he should give me something to believe in

I've never asked for much, and not every time for me
I've prayed for friends, family, and the homeless guy on route 17

There's more evil than good in this world
Watch the news and you'll see
more poor than rich, millions in poverty
150k killed in a tsunami

In my eyes there is no God
Just something we're made to believe
And to those who are mad cause i don't believe
Tell me what has he ever done for me
