Taking Nothing For Granted

Felt good to write last night

It was the first time in a long time

Now I am back with a strong rhyme

Or at least a half-an-eighth

But I have got to keep the faith

That I will get stronger

I sure hope that I live longer than my Dad did

I was not a sad kid

But I know: take nothing for granted

I kept my faith

No hate seeds were planted
