Over before it began

The doctor's say there's no hope,
They don't think you'll make it through,
I'm starting to believe them,
You look pale and slightly blue.

You look way too fragile,
Your bruised and black and blue,
You look so helpless,
I wish there was something i could do.

The Iv's in you scare me,
they remind me you don't have much time,
I should have helped you sooner,
From the beginning,
Your life was on line.

Picked on by your classmates,
You took a drastic measure,
You jumped into the river,
Did drowning yourself cause you pleasure?

I'm the one that found you,
I jumped in shortly after,
You were floating around,
One of the bridges low rafters.

The doctors did all they could to save you,
But your a hopeless child,
It was useless from the start,
The tear stained paperwork your doctor's filed.

Your mother doesn't feel good,
She's lost without her baby girl,
You killed a part of her that day,
You threw away her world.

I hear the constant beeping,
I can't believe your life's done,
But as i see it now,
It was over before it begun.
