Crazy child

by Stephanie   Feb 23, 2005

Slow down you crazy child...
your so ambitious for a juvenile
but then again if you so smart...
tell me...why are you so afraid,
to follow your heart,
and fight for what you believe
because peer pressure is a b**ch,
and friends lie and deceive,
and when the end is today,
and today was yesterday,
and things aren't what they seemed,
regrets don't count,
and shattered are your dreams,
friends aren't forever,
and you find that high school never really mattered

so slow down,
and be a child,
dance every dance,
and always smile,
because one day,
you'll be in my shoes,
looking at the innocence of a small child's youth,
and telling them not to throw it all away,
telling them to live for today
