The Song Of The Sirens

by Jeremy A Miller   Feb 24, 2005

Listen to the crowing of the sun,
in the dawning of the days we can’t escape.
The mornings die down,
but the seasons won’t quit.
Like the calling of the sirens,
in keeping towards their song we soon forget...where we are.
Breaking in the shoreline,
crafting our demise within the far...reach of hope.
Pacing every heartbeat,
we cast the silent truth we are alone…alone.
Listen to the whisper in the wind,
in the haunting of the days we can’t escape.
The sorrow seeps in,
but desire bleeds out.
Like breathing in a sickness,
forever drowning in a sea of doubt...on our own.
Falling into darkness,
looking in the heavens for the one...we condoned.
We rise among the angels,
in hopes that we shall never be alone…again.
Watch us fly away,
we'll never be alone again.
