Growing Up

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 24, 2005

We're not the same
This isn't a game
I hate you so bad
And it is so sad
That you stand there
Asking me to care
And I laugh in your face
Put you in your place

Cos I was a dumb kid then.

Now I stare at you
Wishing to say
What we should do
To make this OK
Cos I've grown
Even if you’re still small
I will take you home
And catch you when you fall

Cos I’m an adult now.

You smile and I feel
This is going somewhere
So glad this is real
And I refuse not to care
I touch you and I know
That this is true
And together we grow
Into something new

Cos we’re in love now.
