Shadow

Its only now a see you for who you are,
A tart, a cow and a liar,
you\\\\\\\'ve walked over me for years,
been a complete cow, reduced me to tears,

I don\\\\\\\'t know why its taken so long,
to see that its you thats wrong,
when the going was rough you were there,
but did you really listen did you care?

\\\\\\\"you know where i am if you need to talk\\\\\\\"
well, i tried but all you did was walk,
You put me down all the time,
Now i realise its totally out of line,

\\\\\\\"you\\\\\\\'re getting fat\\\\\\\"
\\\\\\\"you can\\\\\\\'t go out wearing that\\\\\\\"
\\\\\\\"you can\\\\\\\'t do anything right\\\\\\\"
\\\\\\\"you were totally gone that night\\\\\\\"

Is it any wonder i hate who i am?
Why i close myself up like a clam?
cos that way i don\\\\\\\'t get hurt,
that way you can\\\\\\\'t treat me like dirt.

but i won\\\\\\\'t take it not anymore,
you won\\\\\\\'t use me to wipe the floor,
no longer will i be by your side,
hiding when i\\\\\\\'m told to hide.

your not impressed i know,
cos i\\\\\\\'m going out without you saying so,
but just understand,
none of this was really planned,

i never meant to make a new friend,
but it had to happen in the end,
she made me realise when your around,
i\\\\\\\'m not me i sink to the ground.

I may not be perfect i may not be great,
i may not be pretty or a size eight,
but know i know where ever i go,
i no longer will be in your shadow.
