Black Thursday

by elise   Feb 25, 2005

There once was a girl,
who I thought I knew so well,
but it turns out that she lied,
and cast upon me a spell.

I never saw the light,
or understood what she had planned,
but I knew soon enough she was no good,
and I knew where I must stand.

She never stood by me,
and she wanted to see me lose,
she made my life friendless and suffering,
this is what she used to choose.

It came upon one Thursday,
that she tried to ruin me for life,
and I didn't realize until it was too late,
but I made it through the strife.

I found out that I had more friends than I believed,
and I knew I'd make it through,
but I'll never forget the lesson learned,
or what she tried to do.

She tried to ruin my friendships,
and I didn't want to listen to her ways,
and now she's the one who lost,
and I'm enjoying my happy days.
