One More Chance

Sometimes it's hard
to be a good friend.
To love and to care
straight to the end.

To cry, and to laugh.
To stay up till dawn.
My love is not perfect,
but it is not gone.

I'm sorry for, the
wrong that I've done.
I'm sorry for not
helping anyone.

I've tried so hard
to make things right.
I've tried to bring
them into the light.

What more can I say?
My message is through.
A final poem,
from me to you.

If you looked at me now,
gave me one last glance.
I would ask you simply,
can I have one more chance?
