Light switch

A flick and all is there
Illuminated by a light
What once was gone
Is now in sight

A flick and all has vanished
Darkness cast about
Nothing left to be seen
A kick and sudden shout

A flick and all is there
And a child on the ground
Pain is about the light
The table has been found

The screams go out again
Something else demolished
Who knows what remains
