Battle of snow

by Sinister Soire   Feb 27, 2005

Snow falling in sheets
Surrounding the world
Suffocating all sound
Falling in quiet pleats

Rocks built up sturdy
A shelter of stone
Protecting from everything
Removed from all that’s dirty

Ice solidifying on the ground
Dripping from the roof
Spikes of cool solid
A cracking, the only sound

Soft carpets make a lining
A guard from the cold
A layer away from everything
The golden threads shining

But what is this all
A war against nothing
Man against the nature
And out slightly delayed fall
