It started at a foot ball game,
Not too long ago
I thought that we could make it work
But I guess you never know
I never thought I'd do
What I'm doing now
But I need to tell you this
The only way I know how
I really hate doing
What I'm about to do
But I think it's time to tell you
That me and you are through
If I said I didn't like you
It would be a lie
But I felt that I did the right thing
And now I'll tell you why
We only see each other
About three times a day
And in those few short moments
We don't have much to say
I;m really sorry
That we couldn't make it last
It really is a shame
That it had to end so fast
I really am sorry
Because you're really a nice guy
But I guess I'll end this now
By telling you good-bye.
