She Thought

Her heart was broke into a thousand pieces
all because he cheated and lied
she never felt good enough for him
but without him she always cried

she thought she need him to be happy
but he kept breaking her down
taking over her own thoughts
letting her fall to the ground

she thought she was lucky
to have him as her boyfriend
but the truth is she was slowly dying
just waiting for her life to end

he'd taken over everything she ever had for herself
always saying he was right
and that she was always wrong
she'd just give up the fight

he always wanted more of her
for her to be thinner or smile more
but he was a liar and he cheated
in her face she watched him slam the door

but she believed she was his only one
that they were so perfect in every way
she loved him and thought he loved her
