My Friend

She's the person I call on, when I think I can't do it.
She knows everything from good to bad, and when I just didn't fit.
When everyone doubted me, she always was around.
She'll be there to the end, until I'm underground.

She always had my back, when things were going wrong.
When I got weak, she tried her best to stay strong.
Sometimes I make her mad and upset.
But when everyone turned on me, she was there and I'll never forget.

When I need that extra push or shove.
She's standing right beside me, giving me all her love.
She told me to reach for my goals and aim for the stars.
When I fell behind, she wasn't too far.

She teaches me things that I never knew.
And I told her, "When I grow up, I wanna be just like you!"
When I fall too short and I can't pull through.
She's saying behind me, "I'm right beside you."

When I didn't understand, she told me to come.
I've never had a friend, that could amount to my mom.
