Taking Break

Sitting here in disbelief
trying to forget what you said
all these thoughts running in and out
scurrying through my head

Family and friends inputs:
"maybe it's not meant to be"
but if you were not ready
why did you say you loved me?

You said "Ill never hurt you"
I believed it from the start
but then you said you needed a break
and that just broke my heart

What did I do to make you leave
or want to take a break
I hope that you will miss me
and think of me in every move you make

I dream of getting through this
being together once again
remember I still love you
but my heart needs time to mend
