I can't believe it's over,
never thought they'd go this far.
it ends in a parting
and a long, hard, cold bar.

he'll be down there,
she up here with me.
but separated and hateful
is all that they will be.

i lie awake and die to stop
these hot tears rushing down.
so many tears, they form a pool
in which i could just drown

at least i can finish
my time right here,
before i leave,
my one true fear.

I'll miss my best friend,
her sweet sixteen,
and I'll never know
what true love really means.

or is there true love
any at all?
or is it all just a lie
created for us to just fall.

no cares what happens to me
except for just one girl
the best friend in the whole wide world
ryan won't let me swirl.

she won't let me fall,
and she won't let me die.
the only thing she'll let me do
is let me have my cry.

blaring my music,
hard rocking hate,
i drown out their words,
ignore their mad state.

leave me alone,
i don't want to talk.
if i wasn't so cold,
i would just take a walk.

a walk in the moonlight,
right down by the river.
I'd wash away my pain
under that thin white sliver.

don't know how long
that i will last.
just hope my pain
will leave me fast.
