Boxing Day Tsunami

by shae r   Mar 5, 2005

Swimming in the ocean
Digging in the sand
Jimmy looks up to see a tidal wave
Can’t find mummy’s hand

He desperately looks around
As he starts to run
Is this mother natures way
Of a gruesome bit of fun

All of a sudden
The wave comes crashing down
He’s being pulled up out of the water
As he sees his mummy drown

At this horrible sight
Jimmy jumps back in
And toward his drowning mother
He desperately tries to swim

He grabs hold of her hand
And together they do sink
Mother and son hand in hand
It’s the closest they’ve ever been

This Boxing Day tragedy
Opened up my eyes
And made me see that at any time It could be my turn to die

So treasure your loved ones
And be there for your friends
Because you never can tell
When your life will be put to an end

i know its not my best but please vote and comment
