I take a step inside the door
to remember that face i so long for
he stands there with a smile
and it just takes awhile
to walk away from that safe place
thats right there with his happy face
its so hard to leave
i just hold on tight
i'm so afraid to let go

what could happen that one time i do
and i really can't deal with anything new
so when you drop me off and i don't let go
now there's the one thing you should know

so please dont just walk away

as i do every other day
