Daddys Girl

by Bonnie Fowler   Mar 8, 2005

**Dad singing**

I recall the night
that you came into this world
I couldn't believe the doctor
when he said it was a little girl
I said now doc. you must be wrong
Because you see I want a boy
But when he laid you in my arms
My heart sang with Joy

**Daughter singing**

Daddys girl
I'm the center of Daddys world
I know I'm daddys number one
and he loves me just like a son
Daddys girl

**Dad singing**

I recall the day that I took you
to a base ball game
you brought along your baby doll
and had its baby things
We sat there playing house
while the dodgers played the braves
But everyone in the bleachers
looked at us as if to say

**Daughter singing**

Daddys Girl
I'm the center of Daddys world
I know I'm daddys number one
and he loves me just like a son
Daddys girl

**Dad singing**

I recall the day I took
you on a fishing trip
You said daddy wont that hook
hurt the fishes lip
And you said if it dont get air
Those things in the can will die
so we turned the worm aloose
and chased some butterflies

**Daughter singing**

Daddys Girl
I'm the center of Daddys world
I know I'm daddys number one
and he loves me just like a son
Daddys girl

**Dad singing**

I recall the day that your
young man came to call
It seemed like only yesterday
We swam and played football
But I know the time has come
that I must set you free
But no matter where you are
You know what you are to me

**Daughter singing**

Daddys Girl
I'm the center of Daddys world
I know I'm daddys number one
and he loves me just like a son
Daddys girl...

***This is true. I love my dad with all my heart. I dont know what I would do without him.
