Mask

by No Motiv?   Mar 8, 2005

I've built a bastion
To seclude myself inside,
but blinded by your majesty,
I let my guard subside

I was a complex riddle,
With no answer to find-
But you found my weakness,
As you invaded my mind

You knew what to say,
Because you knew how to seduce
Power was at your hand,
Control was yours to produce

You saw through my wounds,
And solved the code of trust-
Your words were bound with lies
And my heart was captured by lust

My mask-
revealed a face, twisted with fear,
scarred and burned-
from every lie and tear...

finally, you saw...
No longer, could I lie-
You proved the rumors,
As you let my fantasy die

I tried to hide,
And erase away my face-
preserve the rotting sugar,
to avoid a bitter taste...

But you birthed the poison,
in your hands, deciet did live
You stole my sanities,
And everything I had to give...

You discovered the real me,
A soul that craves for misery...
The mask and the beauty -
weren't meant to be.
