Broken Character...

by SplitSided   Mar 9, 2005

You look at him with disgust.
You look at him with broken trust.
You laugh at him for something he isn't.
You keep him in a prison.
Come look down on him.
Come look down on him.
You all break his soul.
Broken to nothing.
Look down at him.
But then you get underneath his skin.
It's all he had.
It gets to be bad.
Back him to a corner.
Put him on a border.
Think he's useless.
Laugh at him till he's a mess.
You broke him down.
Now he lies on the ground.
He can't move.
All by what you all choose.
You choose to break him.
You choose to get in his skin.
An outcast.
You shatter his soul like glass.
Come see the sorrow in his eyes.
Come see how he dies.
On the inside.
Inside he's hard and cold.
His soul begins to unfold.
That broken man is me.
You won't ever set me free.
You will always look down on me.
I can't fight back.
You all look at me in white and black.
But there's more to me then what meets the eyes.
But you don't realize that so my inside dies.
In my eyes I'm golden.
But in your eyes this character's broken...
