That Moment

by StormyWeather   Mar 11, 2005

Slowly his head starts to drop
He sees a light
But he won’t go
Without a fight
He will not go
Won’t say goodbye
He realised
He’s too young too die

All his life he’d
Been a cutter
His mama was dead
And he spoke with a stutter
He took whacked-out pills
To get a high feeling
The dizzy spells scared him
But the rushes were healing

His father still loved him
His girlfriend still cared
But they couldn’t stop him
Cos he was too scared
That if he stopped taking those
Drugs he’d be worse
From that moment on
His life would be cursed

But he came to his senses
And just once felt the love
He remembered his mama
And that was enough
That moment before
His life was to end
He stopped and he realised
That he had a friend

A friend who loved him
As more than a mate
A friend that believed that
A death is just fate
That moment she said
I’ll miss you, you know
Was the moment he knew
He was too young to go
