My immortal

by Sofi   Mar 12, 2005

As I sit here and contemplate the wonders of love
I slowly continue to die.
As the mysteries overwhelm me
I wonder if love will ever become apparent.
I grow older and older just waiting for a love, patiently
A love like a child
So pure and naive,
But I have been hurt by so many people
And left to grow old all alone.
The grim reaper comes down to me
And tells me a chilling thought.
He tells me that I have already died several times in the past
Never with a love in my life
And he doesn't have the heart to take me until I find
That one single woman that will love me for the duration of time.
I guess that some would say I am blessed
For death has just deemed me immortal.
